More Freedom While Staying Connected

Long lines can be particularly useful in appropriate open spaces when your dog needs more freedom than a conventional short lead provides but isn't ready or permitted to exercise completely off lead.

For safety, long lines should be used carefully and under supervision. Avoid allowing the line to become wrapped around people or animals, and take particular care near roads, obstacles and other hazards. A suitable harness can also help distribute forces more safely during long-line training.
